We tried this new Mexican restaurant because of the Restaurant.com coupon. Now, I haven't had a whole lot of success with the restaurants on there being very good, but I have rarely had BAD Mexican food, so I thought it was worth a shot. So my folks, my wife and I all went out to celebrate my dad's retirement.
When we walked in at about 6pm on a Saturday, the place was 100% completely empty. Not usually a good sign. But, we were promptly greeted by who we came to find out was the owner! He was also our waiter and what a fun guy he was. Right from the start he had us laughing and enjoying our experience. We quickly received our drinks and through some conversation ordered the sampler appetizer. It came out in good time and was delivered hot and fresh. The nachos, the chicken, the flautas, the cheese quesadilla. All of it was great! Next, we ordered the main meal.
Mom and I had the chicken combo. GREAT PRICE for an IMMENSE amount of food. Again, everything on the plate was amazing. The salsa on top of the burrito and enchilada was spicy enough that you knew it was there, but not burning your mouth. Rice and beans were also very good. The chicken, you could tell, came right off of a rotisserie, not out of a can or whatever. Great flavor!
My wife had the enchiladas Mexico. She loved them all!! Cheese, beef and chicken. Pretty standard entre with above standard taste.
Finally, pop had the shrimp with red chiliâs garlic butter sauce. He enjoyed it very much. I had a taste and it was very good.
In summary, all the food was amazing. It really tasted like it came right out of a Mexican grandmaâs kitchen.
Finally, Simon, the owner and waiter, was amazing. His service was impeccable and he was fun and entertaining. The restaurant is EXTREMELY family friendly and I would recommend anybody with children to visit if they are in the mood for authentic Mexican food. If nothing else, print off a restaurant.com coupon and try it for yourself. My wife and I will be frequent visitors and will quickly become regulars of what we have deemed one of the best Mexican restaurants we have ever been too.
Itâs really refreshing to visit a wonderful restaurant and really, REALLY enjoy our food and experience. I have little doubt this top notch place will be around for a very long time.
